Michelle's First Blog

Hello world! I have officially entered the world of blogging. I hope that my musings have a nugget of interest or inspiration for you.

I have a number of interests and enterprises that will find their way into this blog. I am an MBA student at University of Georgia with an anticipated graduation date of May 8, 2009. It's been a long two plus years, but the experience has been exhilerating and stimulating, and it was exactly what I needed to do to enter phase two of my life. I have not only acquired knowledge and experience that will well equip me for future endeavours, but I have met some of the most fantastic people that are now part of my trusted personal and professional network.

By trade, I am an Inside Sales Manager. I started in inside sales/ telesales/ telemarketing in 1989 and after nearly twenty years, I am in it for life! My recent positions have focused on start up teams and departments and turn around situations. In my heart, I am an entrepreneur, which is why start up inside sales groups are so appealing to me. I am now marrying the entrepreneurial side and the inside management side to launch a new virtual call center business that will focus on small to medium businesses that need to increase sales with a minimal increase in expense. I am working with a number of mentors in the Atlanta entrepreneurial and capital raising community for a launch date in 2009 or 2010. The time is right and I am ready!

One of my current MBA classes is Entrepreneurship, and several of my classmates are forming a "UGA Entrepreneurship Lounge" to support and guide each other through our entrepreneurial interests and ventures. You can check out that blog at http://7515entrepreneurslounge.blogspot.com/.

Of course, you would think all that would be enough to keep me busy, but no, I'm also launching an e-business that offers feng shui products, advice and information.
